Kim is an Associate at Derpak White Spencer after completing part of her Articles at the firm. She has experience in several practice areas with a focus on family, and wills and estates. Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria, graduating with Distinction, before attending law school at the University of Alberta. In her time at the University of Alberta, Kim volunteered with organizations that aimed to facilitate access to justice for individuals experiencing financial difficulties, including the Legal Services Society and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.
Kim was called to the British Columbia Bar in January 2019. She has appeared in Supreme Court Chambers and has assisted senior counsel in conducting trials before the British Columbia Supreme Court. Prior to her post-secondary education, Kim was an avid fast-pitch player, playing competitively at the highest amateur level in her hometown of Delta for 8 years. She travelled extensively with the team competing in tournaments in both Canada and the United States. She still maintains her love of the game today.
